Between canvas and jewelry, the colorful world of artist Živīlė Vaičiukynienė The painter and jeweler Živilė Vaičiukynienė lives and works in Kaunas, Lithuania. She has been actively participating in jewelry and art exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad since 2007. Her work is abstract, meditative in nature, dominated by soft colors and abstract expressive forms. She graduated from Aleksandras Stulginskis University with a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in marketing, and later she deepened her knowledge in the field of painting at R. Simonaitis' painting studio in Žąsliai. She acquired her jewelry knowledge at the Lithuanian Academy of Fine Arts. The author's work in both areas is often associated with emotions and states. Color and form are strongly felt in her paintings and jewelry, and the motif of color and form of nature, fragility, light and inner harmony is emphasized. The works leave a trace of intuition, intuition and hidden meanings, so the viewer, having chosen a work, chooses his own thoughts. The artist has been an active participant in exhibitions since 2007, she not only organizes jewelry and painting exhibitions, but also curates some projects, one of her most famous curated projects is Carpediem. The exhibitions initiated by the author and some plein airs have already been presented in Lithuania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Denmark, the UK, and Germany. The paintings can be seen in private collections in Europe and South Africa. In the Lithuanian context of art and fine arts, creators who are able to combine even two or more areas of art are becoming increasingly active and visible. This is the case of both the painter and jeweler Živilė Vaičiukynienė, who combine two artistic disciplines into a single ideological and aesthetic system. Such interdisciplinary artists greatly expand the boundaries of traditional Lithuanian art, in this case painting or jewelry. The author's work is characterized by a unique visual language, in which the material used becomes an equal carrier of emotion, memory, and experience. The world of the artist Živilė Vaičiukynienė is unique, her work reveals it as an Painter disciplinary world, in which canvas, color and texture and a jewelry object merge into a single, not only poetic, but also philosophical story. The author's artistic story is distinguished by sensitivity, the paintings and jewelry works are decorative, associated with emotional states. Color contrasts are associated with pastel and bright tone contrasts. The dialogue of silence is important in each painting. The author's paintings have many connections with the expressionist style. In each painting, a kind of reflection of a unique inner world or the world of nature is important. In expressive works of painting, not only the form is important, but also the surface. The shapes and surface of the texture are important. The canvases seem to become relief maps of memory, in which emotional experiences, natural rhythms and signs of time are encoded. In this case, the work of the painter and jeweler Živilė Vaičiukynienė is close to contemporary aesthetics. In summary, it can be stated that the work of the painter Živilė Vaičiukynienė is connected by a dialogue between jewelry and painting. Jewelry is not created by chance, it is created from a unique style, feelings and emotions. Larger and miniature compositions dominate the jewelry. Colors, shapes and meditative states are important not only in painting, but also in jewelry.
