She is an artist who lives and creates  in Kaunas, Lithuania. Her professional path began in medicine – she studied in Vilnius, later worked at the Kaunas Dental Clinic. Her constant interest in the human body, internal balance and energy led her to the field of Eastern medicine – in Spain, at the Escuela Neijing TIAN, Jolanta studied Chinese medicine, and also acquired a qualification as a therapeutic massage specialist. In addition to medical activities, she also develops creative and business projects – she is the founder of the women's clothing business "Frėja - stylish clothing".Painting appeared in Jolanta's life more than a decade ago. The first steps were taken in the direction of Chinese painting – this is naturally related to her interest in Chinese medicine. It is symbolic that one of the first themes was bamboo – in Eastern culture it is associated with an acupuncture point called “the sound of empty bamboo”.Later, the artist deepened her knowledge at the Martinaitis Art School, where her teacher was the famous graphic artist Aistė Ramūnaitė. This was followed by an internship in Klaipėda, in collaboration with Rima Blažytė, the director of Vilnius “Aliejus / drobė” and artist Justinas Vaitiekūnas. Jolanta participated in plein airs in Panemunė Castle and Klaipėda for several years. For her, painting is not only a creative expression, but also a meditation, a form of inner silence and concentration. The artist often notices that works are born as if guided by intuition – as if an invisible force is leading her hand. The greatest inspiration comes from nature, especially by the sea. The sea, sky, clouds, sun and wind become her muses and a constant dialogue on the canvas. In the work of the painter Jolanta Barišauskienė, colorful abstract painting with meditative inspiration is important. Expressive color and form become important as means of expression of artistic compositions. Emotional signs and symbols are extremely important in artistic compositions. The internal dialogue of symbols, colors and forms is important. A diverse color palette from bright to dark colors dominates the author's work. In the work of the artist Jolanta Barišauskienė, feminine themes dominate, existential and philosophical questions become important. Abstract content, abstract dialogue and history are important. The work of the painter Jolanta Urbaitytė-Barišauskienė is a contemporary Lithuanian painter, whose work is distinguished by emotional expression, symbolism and a sensitive relationship with the inner world of man. In her work, the representation of reality is not so much important as the transmission of inner experience, therefore, painting works through mood, color atmosphere and symbolic content.Art critic Gabrielė Kuizinaitė
