10/07/2025 Between Reality and Vision: the artwork of painter Raimundas Dzimidavičius Contemporary Lithuanian artist, painter and sculptor Raimundas Dzimidavičius lives and creates in Kaunas, Lithuania. Recently, the artist has been intensively organizing personal exhibitions of paintings in Lithuania, and is a frequent participant in international art exhibitions in Turkey and Zurich. He collaborates with the Public Institution “Gabrielegallery” gallery “Paveikslai lt”. Artist Raimundas Dzimidavičius studied at the Martinaitis Art School, and from 1981 to 1984 he studied applied arts at the Moscow Znui. This exceptional author’s work combines expressive colors and forms, and realistic and abstract painting, symbolic and figurative fragments dominate in the author’s work. The author’s work intertwines images of the visible world, connecting tangible experiences of the spiritual and visible worlds. Each painting is open to a different interpretation by the viewer. Bright and muted color tones dominate Raimundas  paintings. Important color connections are created by the connections between reality and everyday life, as well as various symbolism appearing in large-format canvases. Fragments of natural abstract landscape motifs also appear in the author's paintings. The author's expressive canvases often have a meditative rhythm, inviting one to listen to the dialogue with the silence that appears in the paintings. His paintings speak of visible and invisible, imagined worlds.
